Obituary of John Albert Kozak

Mount Pleasant, John Albert Kozak, age 63 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died suddenly, Sunday (10/5/14) at his home. Mr. Kozak was born September 16, 1951 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the son of the late Albert and Mildred Foriska Kozak. He was a member of St. John Byzantine Catholic Church. John was a 1969 graduate of Geibel High. He was employed as an HVAC Technician for LaRoche College in Pittsburgh and had served for many years on the Mt. Pleasant Police Force. He was a member of various social and fraternal organizations in the Mount Pleasant area. John was an avid hunter, enjoyed riding his Harley and gardening, but especially loved spending precious time with his grandson and his beloved dogs, Maggie, Toby, Cooper, and Murray. John was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. . He is survived by his loving family, his wife of 38 years, Dorothy Shibilski Kozak, his daughters, Jamie L. Kozak and Stacey L. Kozak, both of Los Angeles, CA and his beloved grandson, Derrick. John is also survived by his brother, Ronald M. Kozak and his wife Karen of Acworth, GA, his sister Karen Yuhas and her husband Wayne of Economy and by numerous nieces and nephews. Family and Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 9 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home Thursday at 9:30AM followed by his 10:00 AM Devine Liturgy at St. John Bzyantine Catholic Church, Scottdale, PA with the Rev. Fr. John H.
