I am absolutely heartbroken to have just found out this evening that Mike passed away. I had tried to visit him twice in the last two years to give him my condolences for his wife passing and he was’t home either time. Carmen, I pray that you and your family can find the strength to get through this difficult time.

It was an honor and privilege to serve with Mike and then to know and love him as a friend. He saved lives in Vietnam, and his encouragement, caring, and loyalty improved many lives over his lifetime. His bravery clearly showed in the last few years. At times tough as nails, yet the soft touch we all wish we had. He was human, so I (Keith) probably fussed at him a time or two, but he forever made our lives better. A wonderful man and a wonderful family. We suspect St Peter will assign him as a greeter at the Pearly Gates with Nikki at his side. Sincere prayers of peace and comfort for family and friends. Though we cannot be present in person, know that we are with you in spirit.
