Mary and I were classmatesbat Visitation School for eitht years. She was always kind and fun to know. Our paths went in different directions and when she moved to Mount Pleasant I would see her occasionally.
Tuesday, a week ago we worked together preparing for the Christian Mothers rummage sale for just two hours as I had another responsibility. Before I left I stopped by where she was working and we said to each "See you agan, soon.
It was a privilege to know" Mary MArtha" as she ws called in grade school. I .

I am sorry for your loss... One of the best things that came from the St. Anne's of Bulger trip to Italy with Father Bob was the friendship that deepened between us. Even though we eventually lost touch when she moved to Mt. Pleasant, I thought of her often. She was a great lady, kind and giving. I am glad that she came into my life. Mary was a wonderful lady. She was one of my first volunteers in the Hickory Elementary library. She always looked out for me in later positions at the Fort. She was one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. John and Theresa you have my sympathies.

I only just met Mary through the Friends of the Mount Pleasant Library this year. We met at Greendance Winery for some info gathering over the summer. She was a lovely and caring lady whose family meant everything to her. She also adored her kitty Abby. I loved how she would have me visit her home on the holidays when she knew I was not going to be visiting my own family. I will miss her sense of humor.
