Obituary of Therese Long

Therese Long, age 78, of Mount Pleasant, PA died Sunday, August 8, 2021 at Excela Health-Westmoreland Hospital , Greensburg, PA. Mrs. Long was born July 5, 1943 in Carmichaels, PA, the daughter of the late Joseph and Ann (Habina) Muzydla. She was a member of Rejoicing Beyond Ministries at Mt. Nebo. Therese was a music teacher and gifted seamstress, who gave up her teaching career to stay home and raise her family. She is survived by her three sons; Ormond J. Long of Connellsville, PA, James A. (Wendy) Long of New Centerville and G. Steven Long of Rockwood and her granddaughter, Lea Long and Zachary Carver. Therese is also survived by her brothers, Joseph Muzydla, Tom Muzydla and James Muzydla. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ormond Cyrus Long on 1/28/2019 and by her brother, Frederick Muzydla Family and friends will be received Thursday from 4 until 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle St., Mount Pleasant. Funeral Services for Therese will be held on Friday at 1:00PM in the funeral home with the Rev. Greg Butler officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenlick Cemetery, Bullskin Township.
