Obituary of Jennie A. Visconti

Mount Pleasant, Jennie A. Biancardi Visconti, age 96 of Mount Pleasant PA, died Monday (04/4/2011) in Excela Heath- Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant, PA. Mrs. Visconti was born August 24, 1914 in Mount Pleasant, the daughter of the late Paulo and Theresa Rozzo Biancardi. She was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church. Jennie was a graduate of the former Ramsay High School. She and her husband Salvador owned and operated Visconti Dry Cleaners for over 50 years. Jennie was a very active participant in her Church and it's fund raising activities, especially the Monday Night Bingo and Pizza Night. Over the years, she had held various offices with the Ladies of Mt. Carmel Society, the Sons of Italy Ladies Lodge, the Assunta Ladies Lodge, and The Servants of Mary Society, always willing to volunteer her time and talents to help others. Jennie is survived by her loving family: her daughters; Joanna Mahoney and her husband William of Fallbrook, CA and Angela Visconti of Charleston, WV, and by her grandchildren and great grandchildren: Brian Mahoney and his wife Jen and their children,Gavin and Lily; Eric Mahoney and his wife C.J. and their children, Reid and Alexandra;Jenn Laplante and her husband Andy and their children,Stevie and Will; Sarah Marco and her husband John and their son Charlie, and Dylan Rosenlieb. She is also survived by her brother, Dr. Anthony Biancardi of Milton, NY, and her sister; Mary Srogoncik of Sun City, AZ, and by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Jennie was preceded in death by her husband Salvador T. Visconti in 1993, and by her sister and brothers; Mamie T. Chuey and Ralph and Joseph Biancardi. Family and friends will be received Monday from 6 to 9pm at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. A blessing service will be held Tuesday @ 10:30am in the funeral home followed by Jennie's Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Pius X R.C. Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant. Interment will be in the St. Pius X Parish Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant, PA A Parish Wake Service will be held Monday at 6pm and The Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Society will hold a Service @7pm, both in the funeral home. The family wishes to thank the devoted caregivers who cared for Jennie with such kindness and compassion.
