Obituary of Judy L. Muko

Judy L. Muko, age 74, of Mt. Pleasant, died Thursday, April 1, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Muko was born August 8, 1946 in Indian Head, the daughter of the late Robert "Shotgun" and Betty Pritts Shawley. Judy was a graduate of Connellsville Area High School. She had worked in the food and beverage industry for many years and after her retirement, began her second career working as a nanny, which she truly enjoyed. Judy also loved to read and spend time with her family, especially with her grandchildren, who called her Meme. Judy is survived by her loving family: her husband of 40 years, Thomas Muko of Mt. Pleasant, her children, Charles Shawley (Terri) of Carmichaels and Deanna Heide (Robert) of Acme, her loving grandchildren, Charity Ann Shawley (Adam) and Casey and Jacylyn Heide and by her loving great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters and brothers; Carol Miller, Kathy Rauschenberg, Robert Shawley Jr. (Janet) and Ricky Shawley (Teresa), her mother in law, Sarah “Sally” Muko and by her numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her three sisters, Connie, Susan, and Shelly Shawley. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Monday, April 5, at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle St., Mt. Pleasant. Private funeral services will be held with the Rev. Roger Howard officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice, in Memory of Judy Muko.
