Obituary of Janet Mae Walker

Mount Pleasant, Janet Mae McCulley Walker, age 75 of Mount Pleasant PA, died Monday (3/28/2011) in Excela Heath- Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg, PA. Mrs. Walker was born July 15, 1935 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the daughter of the late Herbert and Olive Vance McCulley. Janet was a 1953 graduate of the former Ramsay High School. She had worked as a Medical Secretary for the former Bortz and Lewis of Greensburg, and retired with over 34 years of service. Jan had been an excellent bowler and also was an avid reader. She is survived by her loving family; her son,Douglas E. Walker, her sister, Diedra Wilkins and her husband Roy of Maryland and her sisters-in-law; Arlene McCulley of Scottdale, and Lois Walker of North Carolina. Janet is also survived by her Nieces and Nephews; Dale Walker and his wife Paula, David Walker and his wife Beverly, Danis Jeffords, Curtis McCulley, Jr. and Maureen Sultzer. In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Dickson Walker in April of 2010, and by her brothers; Herbert,Jr., Michael and Curtis McCulley. Family and friends will be received Thursday from 4 to 6pm at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant, at which time a memorial service will be held with the Rev. Paul Rankin officiating. Private Inurnment will be in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant. The family suggest memorials be made to: Mt.
