Obituary of Eleanor J. Bonkovich

Mt. Pleasant, Eleanor J. Kaputa Bonkovich, age 80 of Mt. Pleasant, died Wednesday (03/09/2011) in Heritage Valley Medical Center, Beaver, PA. Mrs. Bonkovich was born August 23, 1930 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the daughter of the late Michael and Suzanne Kohut Kaputa. She was a member of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church and its Rosary Altar Society and the Christian Mothers. She was a graduate of the former Hurst High School. Eleanor was a loving wife, mother and devoted grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Eleanor is survived by her loving family: her children; Mary S. DiPaolo and her husband Robert of New Stanton, David B. Bonkovich and his wife Beth of Hamburg, Michael J. Bonkovich and his wife Roberta of Beaver Falls, Diane L. Murphy and her husband Scott of W. Milford, NJ, and Ellie J. Winter and her husband Allen of Wallace, NC; by her beloved Grandchildren; Patrick and Timothy DiPaolo, Emily Bonkovich, Brandon, Collin, Christian, and Cameron Murphy, and Jeffrey , Andrew and Amanda Werley, and by her great grandchildren; Zaidyn Schaeffer, and Anderson Werley. Mrs. Bonkovich is also survived by her brother, Richard Kaputa and his wife Ann of N. Huntingdon. In addition to her parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Bonkovich in 2005, and by her brothers and sisters; Joseph and Paul Kaputa, Helen Kaputa, Elizabeth Brown, Pauline Ruemmele, Margaret Knock, and two infant brothers. Family and friends will be received Thursday from 7 to 9 PM and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home Saturday March 12 at 9:30AM followed by her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass in Visitation Of The Blessed Virgin Mary R C Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant. Interment will be in the Visitation Parish Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant. A Parish Wake service will be held at 3PM Friday, and the Visitation Christian Mothers and The Rosary Altar Society will pray the rosary immediately following the Wake Service in the Funeral Home.
