Obituary of Andrew J. Mehal

Mount Pleasant, Andrew J. Mehal , age 91 of Mount Pleasant PA, died Monday (01/25/21) in the comfort of his home. Mr. Mehal was born Oct. 2, 1929 in Hecla, PA, the son of the late Andrew and Anna Madock Mehal. Mr. Mehal was a member of St. Pius X. R.C. Church and the former Transfiguration Church Parish. He was employed until his retirement by General Motors Corp. Fisher Body Divison in Dravosburg. He is survived by his loving family, his daughter; Lori (David) Tracy of Mt. Pleasant, his beloved grandchildren; Ashley and Matthew Tracy. In addition to his parents, Andy was preceded in death by his wife; Eleanor Zadora Mehal in 2008, and his siblings; Agnes, Gertrude, Frances, Jane, Irene, Pauline, Henry, Frank, Albert and John Mehal, also by his sister Josephine Misiewicz, who died Jan. 28, 2021. As per the wishes of his family and current pandemic concerns, there will be no public hours of visitation. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Andy’s Funeral Mass Monday at 10:00 A.M. February 1, 2021 at St. Pius X R.C., 224 Summit St. Mt. Pleasant, PA. (Everyone is asked to please meet at the Church).
