Obituary of Barbara K. Christner

Barbara K. Christner, 49, of Mt. Pleasant, died January 15, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 16, 1971 in Mt. Pleasant to Virginia Firmstone Hall and the late William E. Hall. She was a 1989 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School and a graduate of the Wilma Boyd Business School. She received the Girl Scout Gold Award and later worked as the Director of Blood Service for the Red Cross, Director of Disaster Services, Director of Fund Development for access Abilities, and as the director of Development for Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful. Barb enjoyed traveling, going to the car races, taking her daughter to pageants, and spending time with family. In addition to her mother, Barb is survived by her husband, Wendell K. Christner, her daughter, Cheyenne Christner, her sister, Beverly Lagorga (John) and their son Jeremy of Mt. Pleasant, her mother-in-law, Hazel Christner of Mt. Pleasant, her sister-in-law’s, Debra Christner and Diane Ross (Steven) both of Seattle, WA, and her faithful dog, Mia. Family and friends will be received Monday from 2 until 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. Funeral Services for Barbara will be Private for the family. CDC Guidelines for Social Distancing will be followed and face masks are required. We thank you for your patience and understanding.
