Obituary of Ella Mae Hoyman

Ella Mae (Hays) Hoyman, 105, of Acme, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 in the Ligonier Gardens. She was born July 17, 1915 in United, a daughter of the late Clare C. and Bernetta “Nettie” McKlveen Hays. Ella Mae graduated from Ramsey High School in 1932 and the Indiana State Teachers College in 1935. Prior to her retirement, in 1977, she was a school teacher with the Mt. Pleasant Area School District. She was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Donegal, the Westmoreland County Teachers Association, the Pennsylvania State Retired Teachers Association, the National Retired Teachers Association and the former Chestnut Ridge Lioness Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband in 1970, Adrian “Beps” Hoyman; a daughter, Helen H. Snyder; three sons-in-law, Patrick Kozbelt, Gordon O. Snyder Sr., and Frank Bazzar; three grandsons; one great-grandson; a brother, R. B. Hays; and a sister, Hilda Snyder. She is survived by three daughters; Sarah (Sally) Kozbelt of Mt. Pleasant and Florida, Carol Mondock and her husband Ronald of Greensburg, and Adrienne “Dee” Bazzar of Victorville, CA; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great- great-grandchildren and a sister, Vera Jean Redden, and a number of nieces and nephews. Due to the current health crisis, all services will be private. A public memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, P.O.
