Obituary of James Edward Tylka

James Edward Tylka , age 33 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Friday, Dec. 11, 2020 in the Excela Health-Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg, PA. Mr. Tylka was born September 3, 1987 in Greensburg, PA, the son of Edward and Kathleen Wisniewski Tylka. He was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church. Jim was a 2006 graduate of Mt. Pleasant Area High School and received his degree in Journalism from Penn State University. He was employed as a Chef at Lobingier’s Restaurant. Jim enjoyed fishing and playing cards and was an avid Pittsburgh Sports fan. He was generous to a fault and had a gift with people. His most favorite times however were those spent with his adored nieces and nephews. In addition to his mother and father,Edward and Kathleen, Jim is survived by his brothers and sister, Eddie (Morgan) Tylka of Scottdale, Stephan (Rachael) Tylka of Latrobe, and Sarah (Jeffrey) Deighan of Brooklyn, NY, his fiancé ,Tabitha Conroy and by his beloved nieces nephews, Lily, Samuel, Christian, Annah, Harper and Asher. Due to the current health crisis, there will be no hours of public visitation. A private family viewing will be held. Family and Friends are invited to attend Jim’s Funeral Mass on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2020 at 11:00 AM at St. Pius X RC Church. We respectfully request your adherence to all current medical guidelines, including wearing a mask and social distancing. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we maintain occupancy limits. Private Interment will be in the Transfiguration Parish Cemetery, Mount Pleasant.
