Shelly, I just saw this today and want you to know I am so sorry to learn of your father's passing. I haven't seen you or any of your family for so long, but you are all well known in your hometown and memories of when we were young are pleasant to think about. May you find comfort and healing in yours.

I was saddened to read today of Jim's death. We went to Ramsay Junior and Senior High School together.. I was inspired by his testimony, his love for Christ and his singing. Over the years, as many of us do, we lost contact. My deepest sympathy and prayers to his wife, children and family. May God bless you with strength and peace at this difficult time.

Though many years have passed I still remember the wonderful shared holiday meals at Grandpap and Grandma Lentz's home. The summer picnics that were enjoyed your parents family cabin.
Our lives went in different directions but you and your family are still with me.

I am truly at a loss. Jim was & always will be dear to my heart, as his family. 2 years ago, my wife left me & he wasn't about to let me have Thanksgiving by myself. He said the more the merrier & it was a great time with his family. They never treated me like a stranger & I haven't felt that kind of closeness at a gathering since before my Grandma passed in 2001. Thank you for everything. You have been more than a friend, teacher, & Brother to me. I will see you again. I will meet you at the feet of Jesus. Thank you family, may God lay a healing hand on you all & if there's ever anything I can do to try to repay the kindness & love you've shown, don't hesitate to call. God Bless you all.

I very much regret that a prior commitment out of town will keep me from offering my condolences to Sharon and the family in person. Jim was a great classmate, teammate, and most of all a friend. The years have separated us geographically but that could never diminish the mutual bond and affection that was and will always remain our friendship. My life was made better by knowing Jim and I will never forget the times we shared. I am so sorry for your loss. I know what his family meant to him and what he meant to his family. Please except my sympathy.

I am just seeing this. I’ve thought a lot of your dad. The comforting part of all this is we know he is with Jesus. The one we serve. The one we love. And he is OK. Grace and peace to you and your family.

There are no words to adequately express my love for my Uncle Jim. He was like a second father to me growing up. He loved me like a daughter and went out of his way to make me feel special. There are so many memories that I will cherish forever because I was blessed to have been loved by this wonderful man. Though miles have kept us apart for many years, those sweet memories still remain.
Aunt Sharon, Shelly, and Erin- may you find comfort in knowing that he now walks with Jesus- completely healed and fully whole. He now sees Him face to face!! Praying for God's loving arms to wrap around you and hold you tight in the days ahead. I love you!!

I was going through a hard time following an injury. Jim knew this and vowed to pray for me daily. This was a time when he himself was dealing with problems in his leg (prior to the amputation). He and I would talk weekly and he would remind me that he was praying for me. When I told him I was praying for him too he wa always more focused on my needs than his. He was such a kind and loving father figure in my life. He always shared a smile and a funny story. He was a talented vocalist. And I am sure he is proud of the legacy he left behind. He raised two strong Christian women with grandchildren that also share strong roots in faith. I am glad I had the pleasure to know Jim (and Sharon too). It’s rare to find a loving, giving m, self-less soul like Jim. I thank God I had the honor of knowing him. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. He will be missed.❤️❤️❤️

Jim was a great classmate and friend. We had fun together at Ramsay and even though we did not see each other very often, it was always a pleasure to "Catch-up" at reunions and get-togethers. May God bless and comfort his family and many friends. RIP my friend.
