Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Hauser

Mary Elizabeth “ MaryBeth”  Hauser, age 91 of Mt. Pleasant, PA died unexpectedly Friday, September 28, 2018 at her residence at Redstone Highlands.  She was born Sept. 17, 1927 in North East, PA, the daughter of James Addison and Helen Naomi French Finn. Mary Beth was a member for over 50 years of the Middle Presbyterian Church, Mt. Pleasant, PA,  where she served as a Deacon, Trustee and past officer of the Ladies Guild and taught Sunday School for most of her life.
She was a 1945 graduate of Mynderse Academy in Seneca Falls, NY and a 1949 graduate of the school of Home Economics at Cornell University. She married her husband of 55 years, Frank Robert Hauser in 1949. Mary Beth was a member and past President of the Women’s Saturday Afternoon Club of Scottdale and Mt. Pleasant, a member and past officer of the Home Economics in Homemaking of Westmoreland County and  a past member of the Braddock Trail Chapter of the DAR .

 She is survived by her three sons: Douglas E. Hauser and his wife Judy, Richard M. Hauser and his wife Diane  and Robert L. Hauser and his wife Jackie, all  of Mt. Pleasant,  by her grandchildren;   Eric Hauser and his wife Erin, Brian Hauser and his wife Ashley, Cassandra and Lenise Hauser,  Emmeline  Marshala and her husband Patrick,  Charlene Gebler and her husband Paul, Jeanine Vannucci and her husband David, Christine Jackson and her husband Mark and Maxine Saylor,   by her granddaughter in law, Lara Hauser and by sixteen Great Grandchildren. Mary Beth is also survived by her  brother, James Finn and his wife Donna of Florida  and by her nieces and a nephew. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Robert Hauser in 2007 and by her grandson, Rev. Scott B. Hauser in 2017.
 

Family and friends  will be received Friday Oct. 5, 2018 from 4 until 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle St., Mt. Pleasant.  Family and friends  are invited to attend   MaryBeth’s Memorial Service at the Middle Presbyterian  Church, Rt. 981, Mt. Pleasant, on Saturday, October 6th  at 2 PM with the Rev.  Brian  D. Hauser  officiating.  Interment  will be in the Middle Presbyterian  Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the Middle Presbyterian Church, 3374 PA-981, Mt.
