Obituary of Richard L. Showman

 Richard Lee Showman, Jr. age 57 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died unexpectedly, Sunday, July 2, 2017 at Excela Health- Frick Hospital. Mount Pleasant, PA.

Mr. Showman was born March 12, 1960 in Connellsville, PA, the son of the late Richard and Anna Steindl Showman. He was a graduate of Connellsville High School. Rich had been employed by Duraloy Steel Co. as a welder. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed hunting, and could always be seen riding his Harley. His greatest joy however came from spending time with his family. Rich was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his loving family: his wife of 37 years, Patti Skero Showman, his son, Patrick Showman and his wife Emily of Mt. Pleasant, and by his adoring grandchildren, Lukas and Avery Showman. Rich is also survived by his sisters; Debra Rummel and Charles of Lemont Furnace, Patricia Marmol and James of Uniontown, and Angela Lazaran and James of Bethel Borough, his mother in law, Kathleen Skero of Mt. Pleasant , numerous nieces and nephews, and by his faithful companion, his dog "Duke". In addition to his parents, Rich was preceded in death by his father in law, Peter Skero in 2006.

Family and friends will be received Thursday from 5 until 9 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to an Animal Shelter of one's choice, in memory of Richard L.
