Obituary of Donald Frazier

Donald Frazier, age 61 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Saturday, February 25, 2017, in the UPMC-Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Frazier was born October 13, 1955 in Connellsville, PA, the son of Dolores Nicholson Frazier of Dunbar and the late Donald E. Frazier. He was a member of Transfiguration of Our Lord Polish National Catholic Church, Mount Pleasant. Don was a 1974 graduate of Connellsville High School. He was a self employed contractor, the owner of Frazier Construction Company. Don was an active volunteer for the American Red Cross. He enjoyed attending antique car shows, and volunteering at his Church, especially helping to make Pierogi . His most loved and cherished times however, were spent with his family. In addition to his mother, Dolores Nicholson Frazier, Don is survived by his devoted wife of 37 years, Lisa Sofranko Frazier, his loving son, Jason W. Frazier and his wife Maria of Everson and by his beloved grandson, Chase. He is also survived by his brother Michael Frazier and Elaine of Harrisonville, PA, his sister, Patricia Szuba of Greensburg, his mother in law, Marie Szuba Sofranko of Mt. Pleasant and by his beloved dog and companion, Maggie who accompanied him everywhere. In addition to his father, Don was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Frazier, his sister, Kathleen Frazier and by his father in law, William Sofranko. Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 2 until 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. Don's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11:00 AM in Transfiguration of Our Lord Polish National Catholic Church, 353 Bridgeport Street, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Burce Sleczkowski, as celebrant. (Everyone is asked to please meet at the Church) Interment will be in the Transfiguration Parish Cemetery, Mount Pleasant. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to Transfiguration of Our Lord Polish National Catholic Church , in Memory of Donald Frazier, or to the family.
