Obituary of Juanita L. Rose

Mount Pleasant, Juanita Louise (Skowronek) Rose, age 87 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died peacefully, Wednesday, January 4, 2017 in the Harmon House Convalescent Center, Mount Pleasant, PA. Mrs. Rose was born January 1, 1930 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the daughter of the late Walter and Julia Krajewski Skowronek. She was a member of Saint Pius X Parish of Mount Pleasant. Juanita graduated from Mount Pleasant High School and the Westmoreland School of Nursing. She worked for over 43 years at the H.C. Frick Community Hospital as a registered nurse before retiring. She loved reading, travelling, polkas, cooking, ceramics, water aerobics, bowling, garden club and going to the casinos. To those of us who knew her, she was long known for her sense of humor. Her talents were many; her friendships long-lasting, and her love true, unfailing, and unconditional. She will be dearly missed. Juanita is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Richard A. Rose, her sons; Daniel Rose, John Rose, and Paul Rose and by her 8 grandchildren; Julianna, Mikayla, Ava, Emily, Natalie, Bryan, Patrick, and Abigail. She is also survived by her sister, Genevieve Baluh, daughters-in-law, Heather Rose, Amy Rose and Kris Rose, and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Walter A. Skowronek, Jr. A memorial service will be held for family and friends to celebrate her life on Saturday, January 14th from 1 PM to 4 PM, with a Funeral Service immediately following, at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home , 204 Eagle St., Mt.
