Obituary of Mary Agnes Kalata

Mary Agnes Kalata , age 95, of Hecla, PA, died Sunday, December 4, 2016 in The Westmoreland Manor, Greensburg, PA. Miss Kalata was born August 23, 1921 in Calumet, PA, the daughter of the late John and Mary Kassin Kalata. She was a member of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church and its Holy Rosary Altar Society. Prior to her retirement, Mary was employed for more than 43 years as an Assembler for the former Robertshaw Control Company of New Stanton. Mary is survived by her loving family: her nephew and nieces; Dr. Thomas Kalata of Latrobe, Yvonne Kalata of Greensburg, Carol Humenansky of Dayton, OH, and Diane Ford of Arcadia, and numerous great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her brothers and sister: George, John, Joseph, and Stephen Kalata, and Sister Mary Beata. Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mt. Pleasant. A blessing service will be held Wednesday in the funeral home at 11:00 AM followed by Mary's Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM in Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary RC Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant. Burial will be in the Visitation Parish Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant. The Visitation Holy Rosary Society will Pray the rosary on Tuesday at 5PM in the funeral home.
