Obituary of Norma Jean Ferrell

Norma Jean (Davidson) Ferrell, age 89 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Sunday November 13, 2016, in the Harmon House Convalescent Center, Mount Pleasant, PA. Mrs. Ferrell was born April 27, 1927 in South Connellsville, PA, the daughter of the late Ralph and Olive Sproat Davidson. She was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church. Norma was a 1945 graduate of Connellsville High School, and a 1947 graduate of the former Mt. Pleasant School of Nursing. Prior to her retirement in 1989, Norma had been employed as a Registered Nurse at Frick Hospital. Norma's favorite pastimes were drinking coffee and watching TV. She is survived by her loving family: her children; Patricia Jean Buffers (Joseph) of Mt. Pleasant, Ralph R. Ferrell, Jr. (Deborah) of Greensburg and Michael Lee Ferrell (Mary Helen) of Mt. Pleasant, her grandchildren: Douglas Ferrell (Jennifer), Michael Ferrell, Jr. (Lorretta), Bart Corvin (Jackie), Julie Ferrell Rowles (Bruce), Adam Ferrell (Ashley), Brian Ferrell (Sarah), Ralph Ferrell, III (Elizabeth), and her eleven Great Grandchildren. Norma is also survived by her sister-in-law; Margaret Frederick Ferrell of Palm Desert, CA. In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph R. Ferrell in 1990. Family and friends will be received Thursday from 6 to 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle St., Mount Pleasant. A blessing service will be held Friday at 9:30 AM in the funeral home followed by Norma's Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Pius X R C Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Richard J.
