Obituary of Michael P. Puskar

Michael P. Puskar, age 75 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died unexpectedly Monday October 31, 2016, at his home. Mr. Puskar was born September 11, 1941 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the son of the late Michael and Margaret Bossick Puskar. He was a member of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church. Mike was a1959 graduate of the former Hurst High School. He was a proud veteran who served in the Army National Guard from 1959 until 1966. He retired as an Independent Truck Driver, and had also been employed as a Security Guard with Point Security. He was a member of Marion Lodge #562 F & AM. Michael was a very kind and quiet man, who was always willing to help anyone in need. He is survived by his loving family: his children; Philip Puskar and Joanne of MA, Scott Puskar of OR, and Michelle Puskar and boyfriend Tommy of Mt. Pleasant, and by his beloved grandchildren, Jonah and Kevin Puskar. In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Marie Balko Puskar in July of 2016, and by his brother; John P. Puskar. Family and friends will be received Friday from 6 to 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. A blessing service will be held Saturday at 9:30AM in the funeral home followed by Mike's Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary RC Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant. Private Inurnment will be in the Middle Presbyterian Cemetery, Mount Pleasant Township. Marion Lodge #562 F & AM will conduct Masonic Services in the funeral home Friday at 7PM. Military Rites will be accorded Saturday morning at the conclusion of Mass.
