Obituary of Raymond Glenn Marker

Raymond Glenn Marker, age 76 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Sunday, October 23, 2016 in West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. Mr. Marker was born June 27, 1940 in Elizabeth, PA, the son of the late Carl and Evelyn Miller Marker. He was employed as a Truck Driver for more than 42 years, retiring from Teledyne Trucking Ltd. Ray was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed playing cards. Ray was a life member of the Hecla Sportsman's, the Bridgeport Sportsman's, and the Mt. Pleasant Fireman's Clubs. He is survived by his loving family: his wife of 15 years, Mary Jane Weaver Marker, his children; Charlene Marker and Tim Nicholson, Sharon (Dalllas) McCune, Sheila (Jeff) Russel, Charles Marker, Charlotta Marker, Tammy (Tim) Boytim, and Scott Marker, and his step daughter, Dawn (Bill) Hennessey, and by his thirteen Grandchildren and eight Great Grandchildren. Ray is also survived by his brothers; Carl Marker, Sherman (Joanne) Marker, Jerry (Linda) Marker, and Larry (Kim) Marker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Marker Kreger. Ray will be sadly missed by his very special angels, Nicole Hennessey and Cora Vanella. Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. Funeral services will be held immediately following, with the Rev. Shirley Farino officiating. Inurnment will be private.
