Obituary of George Kenneth Lehman, Jr.

George Kenneth Lehman, Jr., age 80 of Mount Pleasant, PA, Bullskin Township, died Thursday, September 29, 2016 in the UPMC-Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. Mr. Lehman was born September 27, 1936 in Acme, PA, the son of the late George and Mildred Pospisil Lehman. He was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church. George was a 1953 graduate of the former East Huntingdon High School. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army who served during the Vietnam Era. George had been employed in Theatre Management for Carmike Cinemas for more than 50 years. He is survived by his loving family: his son, G. Kenneth Lehman, III of Missoula, MT and by his brothers and sisters ; Rita Brier of Delmont, Carole Klocek of Mt. Pleasant, John Lehman (Roberta) of Scottdale, Mark Lehman (Phyllis) of Mt. Pleasant, Thomas Lehman (Carol) of Scottdale, Mary Lehman and Bruce Koziar of Carlisle, Mildred Blasko (Michael) of Mt. Pleasant, and Michael Lehman (Catherine) Mt. Pleasant. George is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary E. Amdy Lehman in 2005. Family and friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. A blessing service will be held Monday at 9:30 AM in the funeral home, followed by George's Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Pius X R C Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant. Interment will be in the St. Pius X Parish Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant. A parish wake service will be held Sunday in the funeral home at 3PM.
