Obituary of James Richard Kristoff

James Richard Kristoff, age 74 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Sunday September 11, 2016 in the Harmon House Convalescent Center, Mount Pleasant, PA. Mr. Kristoff was born July 26, 1942 in Whyels, PA, the son of the late John and Lillian Hamilton Kristoff. He attended Sewickley Area High School. Jim had been employed for more than 35 years for the Bryce Bros Glass Co., and Lenox Crystal. He was an active member of the Democratic Committee. Jim was a member of the Polish Falcons and the Mt. Pleasant Fireman's Club. He had coached Mt. Pleasant Little League from 1963-1964, and enjoyed helping all of our local organizations by selling tickets for their fundraisers. Jim is survived by his loving family: his sons; James J. Kristoff, Thomas A. Kristoff and his wife Tina, and William R. Kristoff and his wife Gina, all of Mt. Pleasant, his beloved grandchildren; Troy, Ryan, Jared and Nathan Kristoff. He is also survived by his brothers and sister; Donald R (Pauline) Kristoff of Millville, NJ, Alexander M. (Karen) Kristoff of West Newton, David P. (Betty) Kristoff of RuffsDale, and Roseann (Lloyd) Ohler of New Stanton, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Violet M. "Babe" Crivella Kristoff in 2009, and his infant son, Richard Lee Kristoff in 1967, and his brother, John Kristoff. Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 2 until 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home Inc., 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. Funeral Services for Jim will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM in the funeral home, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko officiating. Interment will be in the St. Pius X Parish Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant. The Mt. Pleasant Volunteer Fire Department will meet at the funeral home Wednesday at 7PM.
