Obituary of Karen Ann Walsh

Karen Ann Walsh, age 63, of Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania, formerly of Anchorage, Alaska, died on September 10, 2016, in the Amber House Personal Care Center, Mt. Pleasant, PA. Karen was born February 2, 1953 in Great Falls, Montana, the first daughter of Myron and Betty Davis Walsh. The family moved to Washington, England, and New Mexico before moving to Anchorage, Alaska in 1964 where Karen spent most of her life until moving to Pennsylvania in 2013. She always considered Alaska her home and the place she loved. She is survived by her sons, Mika Odom of Pennsylvania, Forrest Odom of Alaska, Jason Stom of Texas, her granddaughter, Annalise Odom of Alaska, and her sister, Carol (Mike) Walsh Fielding of Arizona. Karen was preceded in death by her father in 1972 and by her mother in 2014. Per Karen's request, there will be no public viewing or funeral service. Her cremated remains will be returned to Alaska. The family wishes to thank the wonderful caregivers of the Amber House and Excela Hospice in Mt. Pleasant for their compassion, love and friendship during Karen's illness.
