Obituary of Marilyn (Miller) Smetak

Marilyn (Miller) Smetak, age 84 of Mount Pleasant ,PA, died Friday, August 26, 2016 in Excela Health- Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant, PA. Mrs. Smetak was born August 17, 1932 in Hecla, PA, the daughter of the late Daniel and Leona Miller. She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church of Everson. Marilyn was a 1950 graduate of Greensburg High School. She had worked as a bank teller for more than 30 years, retiring from the former Integra Bank in Mt. Pleasant. Marilyn enjoyed cooking and spending time at the beach and she loved to dance. She loved the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great granddaughter. Marilyn is survived by her loving family: her husband of 51 years, Charles Smetak, Jr., her children, Amy Lea Smetak of Mt. Pleasant and Charles Smetak, III and his wife Lindsey of Fairfield Twp., her grandchildren; Michael Smetak and his wife Lindsay, Nicholas Long, Rachel Smetak, Luke Smetak, and Molly Smetak and her beloved great granddaughter, Harper Marilyn Smetak. In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her brothers, Edward and Ronald Miller. Family and friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. Funeral Services for Marilyn will be held Monday at 1:00 PM in the funeral home. Private Inurnment will be in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
