Obituary of Mildred Irene Rolfe

Barton, NY. Mildred I. "Midge" (Harrold) Rolfe, age 64 of Barton, NY, formerly of RuffsDale, died Thursday August 4, 2016 in the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA. Mrs. Rolfe was born November 7, 1951 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the daughter of the late Arthur and Stella Simmers Harrold. She was a graduate of the former East Huntingdon High School. Midge enjoyed cooking, baking and taking care of her home and her family. She particularly loved spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Midge was a true animal lover, who enjoyed feeding and taking care of all animals. Her greatest attributes however, were her most giving nature and her unconditional love for her family, her friends, and the animals she cared for. Midge is survived by her loving family: her husband, Donald "Joe" Rolfe, her devoted children, Tracy Murtha of Mt. Pleasant, Paula Brown of Barton, NY and Tanya Collins and Jay of Jeannette, her beloved grandchildren; Justin Little, Joseph R. Murtha and Nicole, Jack Brown, Cole Murtha, Devin Houser and Jayla Houser, and her great grandchildren, Mason and Paisley Little. She is also survived by her brothers, Jess Harrold and Cathy of RuffsDale, and Ray Harrold and Josie of Greensburg, and her mother in law Joyce J. Sullivan of Nichols, NY, and her nieces; Tammy Pirl and Tracy Miller. Midge is also survived by her faithful dog Molly. In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her brothers, Willie Harrold, and Sam Harrold. Family and friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. Funeral Services for Midge will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM in the funeral home, with the Rev. Randy Landman officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Tarrs, PA.
