Obituary of Robert Eugene Crusan

Mount Pleasant, Robert E. "Bob" Crusan, age 65 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Wednesday, July 6, 2016 in the Oak Hill Nursing Home, Greensburg, PA. Mr. Crusan was born August 10, 1950 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the son of the late Robert Paul Crusan and the late Margaretta Brooks Rzepniak. He was a graduate of the former South Huntingdon High School. Bob proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and was a decorated Vietnam War Veteran. Bob had been employed by Volkswagen of America, and then worked for the Levin Furniture Company for over 20 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 446, and the VFW Post 3368, both of Mt. Pleasant. Bob is survived by his loving family: his son, Christopher J. Crusan of VA, and by his grandchildren, Joshua and Makenze Crusan of Greensburg. He is also survived by his sisters, Nancy Wetherbee and her husband George, and Margo Schneiderman, all of SC, his Aunt, Shirley Basista of OH, numerous cousins, and by his devoted friends, Nancy Morrow and Dick Minick. Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside Inurnment service at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Saturday July 16, 2016 at 1:00 PM, followed by military honors accorded by the American Legion Post 446, and the VFW Post 3368. The family offers heartfelt words of thanks and appreciation to the nurses and aids of Amedisys Hospice of Pennsylvania and the staff of Oak Hill Nursing Home for the dedicated and compassionate care they provided to Bob during his illness.
