Obituary of Anthony M. Baranowski

Mount Pleasant, Anthony M. Baranowski Jr., age 65 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Friday, May 20, 2016 in the Excela Health-Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg, PA. Mr. Baranowski was born July 8, 1950 in Bryn Mawr, PA, the son of Gertrude Twargoski Baranowski, and the late Anthony Baranowski, Sr. He was a member of Transfiguration of our Lord Parish of Mt. Pleasant. Anthony was a graduate of St. Joseph's College with degrees in Economics and Business Law. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. Anthony was President and owner of Anthony Baran and Associates, serving as a private consultant for steel industry companies in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil and South Korea. Over the years Anthony had affiliations with Citi Steel USA, Lukens Steel Corp., Alan Wood Steel, Gulf States Steel, Akers National Roll, and numerous other companies. Tony enjoyed Pirate Baseball, watching Fox News, and visiting and cooking for his neighbors and friends. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his best friends, Mary M. Sukenik, and James D. Gallagher and his wife Cindy, all of Mt. Pleasant, and by his buddy, Mary's dog Teddy. Family and friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant, where funeral services will be held at 4 PM with the Rev. Kevin E. Bundridge, Sr. officiating. In addition, A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 AM at Transfiguration of Our Lord Parish, Bridgeport St. Mt. Pleasant, PA.
