Obituary of Bruno John Krzanowski

Mount Pleasant, Bruno John Krzanowski, age 94 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Friday (04/29/16) in Excela Health- Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant, PA. Mr. Krzanowski was born March 30, 1922 in Oliver #1, PA, the son of the late Frank and Mary Wenklar Krzanowski. Bruno was a member of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church of Mt. Pleasant and the former Transfiguration Parish. He was a 1941 graduate of the former North Union High School. Bruno was a proud veteran of WWII in the European Theater who served in the United States Army and was awarded 4 Bronze Stars. He was a manager for Stanley's Fruit Market of Scottdale for many years. Bruno was a member of the American Legion Post 446, and the VFW Post 3368, and was active in their Funeral Honor Guard. He was also a member of BPOE #777. Bruno was a quiet and gentle man who was a loving husband, a wonderful uncle and a favorite of all the neighborhood children. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years; Mildred Kupczak Krzanowski, his brothers, William Krzanowski of Florida, and Theodore Krzanowski of Uniontown, and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, whom he adored. In addition to his parents, Bruno was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters: Edward, Stanley, Joseph, Walter and infant brother John Krzanowski and Pauline Zajdel, and Helen Shimko. Family and friends will be received Sunday from 3 unitl 7 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. A blessing service will be held Monday at 9:30AM at the funeral home, followed by Bruno's Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary RC Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant. Interment with military rites accorded by the American Legion Post 446 and VFW Post 3368 will be in the St. John Byzantine Cemetery, Scottdale, PA.
