Obituary of Mary Ellen Fullman

Mount Pleasant, Mary Ellen (Jurkovic) Fullman , age 87 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Sunday (04/17/16) in Highlands Hospital, Connellsville, PA. Mrs. Fullman was born May 21, 1928 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the daughter of the late John and Margaret Hogan Jurkovic. She was a member of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church and it's Christian Mothers. Mary Ellen was a 1946 graduate of the former Ramsay High School. She had been employed by the former Levinson Store and the Ghantous Store, both of Mt. Pleasant. Mary Ellen so enjoyed her neighbors and friends at the Greenwood Apartments. She was a dedicated advocate of the St. Jude's Foundation. Mary Ellen was an avid card player and enjoyed cooking and baking. She was especially known for her Apple and Coconut Cream Pies, pork chops and her cabbage rolls. Mary Ellen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She will be greatly missed not only by her family, but by her many friends and acquaintances. Her spirit will always be with her family. She is survived by her loving family: her children; Robert M. Fullman and Jackie of Portland, OR, and their family; Robin (Ryan), Ashley (Kamran) and Michael (Linda), and Ronald M. Fullman and Pam of Mt. Pleasant, and their family; Douglas (Jessica), Bradley (Kelly), and Mark M. Fullman and Mary Lou of Chester Springs, PA, and their family; Alexis, Brooke, Jennifer, Samantha and Sarah. She will also be sadly missed by her two great granddaughters, Bella and Lacey. Mary Ellen is also survived by her sisters; Florine Jurkovic Anderson and Matt of Greensburg, and Janet Jurkovic Shaffer and Howard (Bud) of Acme and by a number of nieces and nephews including her special niece Tracey and special nephew Brian. In addition to her parents, Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Fullman in 2007, and by her brother, John Jurkovic, Jr. in 2014. Family and friends will be received Thursday from 6 to 8 PM and Friday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM. at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. A blessing service will be held Saturday at 9:30 AM, in the funeral home followed by Mary Ellen's Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary RC Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant. Interment will be in the Visitation Parish Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant. A parish wake service will be held in the funeral home Friday @ 3PM.
