Obituary of Victor J. "Vic" Jordan

Mount Pleasant, Victor J. "Vic" Jordan, age 68 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Wednesday (03/23/16) at UPMC-Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. Mr. Jordan was born April 1, 1947 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the son of the late John and Rose Cotterino Jordan. He was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church. Vic was a graduate of the former Ramsay High School. He had been employed by the former Modulus Corporation and was a Co-owner of the former Jordan- Miller Rustproofing. He was the current owner of Jordan's Garage for more than 30 years. Vic was well known as a car enthusiast. His detail work and auto repairs were among the best. To say he was "Extremely Particular" was an understatement. He was a perfectionist. Vic loved tending to his fruit trees and enjoyed his daily visit to Jack Caruso's for coffee and conversation. He will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends. His smile will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Vic is survived by his loving and devoted family: his sister; Kathryn “Kathy” Janesko and her husband Ray of Mt. Pleasant, his niece, Leigh Ann Smithberger and David, and his great niece, Jordan Smithberger, and Elie and Adelyn Busatto, the three loves of his life whom he idolized. He will also be greatly missed by his extended and loving family: Dan Busatto and Carey. In addition to his parents, Vic was preceded in death by his nephew, Raymond Douglas Janesko in 1999, and his loving companion and friend, Cheryl Ann Busatto in 2014. Family and friends will be received Sunday from 1 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM. at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. A blessing service will be held Monday at 12:30 PM at the funeral home followed by Vic's Funeral Mass at 1:00 PM in Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary RC Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant. Interment will be in the St. Pius X Parish Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant. The family wishes to thank Dr. Waas, Dr. Anne Im, and the nurses in the intensive care and oncology units at Shadyside Hospital for their care and compassion.
