Obituary of Robert Regis Hoza

Mount Pleasant, Robert Regis Hoza, age 82 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Thursday (03/3/16) at St. Anne Home, Greensburg, PA. Mr. Hoza was born September 13, 1933 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the son of the late Alexander and Gertrude Ransel Hoza. He was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church. Bob was a graduate of the former Hurst High School. He served in the United States Army from 1956 to 1958. Bob was the owner and operator of Hoza's Tire Service in Mount Pleasant for more than 50 years. He enjoyed wood working and working in his garden, but mostly enjoyed spending time with his family. Mr. Hoza is survived by his beloved children: Rachel Hoza and Jeff Sarver of Mt. Pleasant, Jon Hoza and Guadalupe of Philadelphia, Debbie Hoza and Sam Al-Droubi of Nashville, TN, Steve Hoza and Judy of Greensburg, and Mike Hoza and Karen of Jeannette, and by his beloved grandchildren; Alex Sarver, Emily Hoza, Emma Al-Droubi, and Adam Al-Droubi. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his sister, Dolores Hoza Galley, and by his brother, Lawrence Hoza. Family and friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. A blessing service will be held Monday at 11:00 AM in the funeral home followed by Bob's Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM in St. Pius X RC Church, Mount Pleasant. Interment with military rites accorded by the American Legion Post 446, will be in the St. Pius X Parish Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant. A parish wake service will be held in the funeral home Sunday at 3 pm.
