Obituary of Raymond Richard Wingrove

Mount Pleasant, Raymond R. "Dick" Wingrove, age 72 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Tuesday (3/1/16) at his home. Mr. Wingrove was born December 16, 1943 in Kecksburg, PA, the son of the late William and Viola Sally Rogozinski Wingrove. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Mt. Pleasant. Ray was a 1961 graduate of the former Hurst High School. He had worked for the Adam Eidemiller Corp as a Heavy Equipment Operator, retiring after many years of service. Ray was a founding member of the Kecksburg EMS, and a member of the Kecksburg Volunteer Fire Department, the Operating Engineers Local #66, and the Polish Falcon's Nest of Mt. Pleasant. . He also put off the fireworks for the Kecksburg Fair for over 40 years. Ray is survived by his loving family: his wife of 32 years, Sherry Baker Halterman Wingrove, his children; Raymond Wingrove and Denise of AL, David Wingrove and Vicky of Latrobe and Valerie Wingrove of AL, his step children; Douglas Halterman and Michele of Uniontown, Stacy Momyer and Bruce of Smithton, and Lance Halterman of Kecksburg, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Nellie Fisher and Grafton of Hunker, Dorothy Srague and Darrell of CA, and Connie Puskar and Dennis of New Alexandria. Family and friends will be received Thursday from 6 to 8 PM and Friday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. Funeral Services for Ray will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Inurnment will be private.
