Obituary of Florence L. (Stashick) Walker

Mount Pleasant, Florence L. (Stashick) Walker, age 91 of Mount Pleasant, PA, formerly of Tarrs, died Tuesday (01/12/16) in Jo Ella's Personal Care Home, Mount Pleasant, PA. Mrs. Walker was born November 27, 1924 in Tarrs, PA, the daughter of the late Andrew and Julia Martinowski Stashick. She was a member of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church. Florence was a graduate of the former East Huntingdon High School. She is survived by her loving family: her nieces and nephews; Judy Kiral and Mike, Sandy George and Bill, all of Mt. Pleasant, Ron Stashick and Pam of Trafford, and Randy Stashick and Sandy of Alpharetta, GA. She is also survived by eight great nieces and nephews, and five great great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Florence was preceded in death by her husband, E.W. Bill Walker in 1978, and by her brother, Vic Stashick in June, 2015. To honor Florence's wishes, there will be no hours of public visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend Florence's Funeral Mass on Friday, 1/15/2016, at 10:00 AM at Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary RC Church, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant. Interment will be in the Transfiguration Parish Cemetery, Mount Pleasant. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle St. Mt. Pleasant.
