Obituary of Mark Alan Rose

Mount Pleasant, Mark Alan Rose, age 49 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died unexpectedly, Sunday (09/13/15) at his home. Mr. Rose was born September 7, 1966 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the son of Henry "Hank" and Maureen Jakubovic Rose of Mt. Pleasant. He was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church. Mark was a 1984 graduate of Mt. Pleasant Area High School, and attended the University of Pittsburgh. He served in the United States Army, and had been stationed in Germany. He had been employed by Verizon Communications in Greensburg. Mark enjoyed hunting, fishing, and skiing, and was an avid Steeler and Penguin fan. Mark is survived by his loving family: his parents, Hank and Maureen Rose, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins and friends. Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home Thursday at 9:30AM followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Pius X RC Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant. Interment will be in the St. Pius X Parish Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant. A parish wake service will be held in the funeral home Wednesday at 3PM.
