Obituary of Kathryn Louise Zwierzelewski

Mount Pleasant, Kathryn L. Srogoncik Zwierzelewski, age 80 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Friday (08/28/15) at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Zwierzelewski was born August 19, 1935 in Everson, PA, the daughter of the late John and Cecelia Tokarcik Srogoncik. She was a member of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roamn Catholic Church. Kathryn was a 1954 graduate of the former Hurst High School. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed in the Kitchen at Kraisinger's Market. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and was an avid sports fan. Kathryn was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who devoted her life to caring for her family. Kathryn is survived by her loving and devoted children: Walter J. Zwierzelewski and his wife Debra of Everson, Edward J. Zwierzelewski and his wife Christine of Scottdale, Kathryn A. Rymarz and her husband Robert of Amsterdam, NY and Wanda E. Hegedus of Scottdale, her grandchildren: Kyla and Laura Zwierzelewski, Robbie and Renee Rymarz, Alex Zwierzelewski, Alexis Zemba, Brianna Rymarz, and Cheyanne Hegedus, and her great grandchildren, Aubreanna, Savannah and Alaina Zwierzelewski, and Olivia and Hunter Jones. She is also survived by her brother, Thomas F. Srogoncik and his wife Terry of Mt. Pleasant and her sister: Annie Srogoncik of Prescott, AZ. In addition to her parents, Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband, Walter M. Zwierzelewski in 2001, her grandson; James Allen Zwierzelewski and by her brothers and sisters; John, Steven, George and Joseph Srogoncik, Margaret Kitta, and Cecelia Koskee. Family and friends will be received Saturday from 6 to 8 PM and Sunday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. A blessing service will be held Monday at 11:30 AM in the funeral home followed by her Funeral Mass at 12:00 Noon in Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary RC Church, Mount Pleasant. Interment will be in the Visitation Parish Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant. A parish wake service will be held in the funeral home Sunday at 3PM.
