Obituary of Lorraine Pallitta Dean

Mount Pleasant, Lorraine F. Pallitta Dean, age 71 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Sunday (8/23/15) in the Excela-Health Latrobe Hospital. Mrs. Dean was born September 6, 1943 in Greensburg, PA, the daughter of the late George and Pauline D'Ottavio Pallitta. She was a graduate of Greensburg Salem High School. Prior to her retirement, Lorraine had been employed at Westmoreland Regional Hospital in Housekeeping. She enjoyed Sewing Costumes, and making pillows that she delighted in giving away to family and friends, also donating many items to the Senior Center and to the local hospitals. Lorraine had been a member of the West Hills Bowling League, and enjoyed family vacations and cooking and caring for her family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Lorraine is survived by her loving family: her devoted husband of 46 years, Daniel A. Dean Sr., her beloved children; Daniel A. Dean Jr. and his wife Valerie of Irwin, Robert C. Dean and his wife Tracy of North Huntingdon, and Michael W. Dean and his wife Holly of Mt. Pleasant, and by her beloved grandchildren: Bryant, Melanie, Matthew, Jordyn, Marissa, Hunter and Ryan Dean. Lorraine is also survived by her sisters, Rose Marie Capparelli Picciano of Jeannette, Marlene Sonnie of Utah, and Carole (Gordon) McBean of McHenry, IL. Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. Funeral Services for Lorraine will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM in the funeral home, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko officiating. Entombment will be in the Middle Presbyterian Cemetery Mausoleum, Mount Pleasant Township.
