Obituary of Margaret Kolar

RuffsDale, Margaret "Nana" Levine Kolar, age 91 of RuffsDale, PA, died Monday (08/3/15) at her home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Kolar was born July 22, 1924 in Yukon, PA, the daughter of the late John and Mary Labasky Levine. She was a member of Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church of Youngwood. Marge was a loving, caring, independent, hard working woman who had the warmest hugs and enjoyed the simple pleasures that life offered her. She is survived by her loving family: her children; Rose Marie Kolar and Lewis Kolar, both of RuffsDale, Joyce Shifko and her husband Jim of Greensburg, her three Grandchildren, Karen Miedel and her husband Andrew of Scottdale, Jonathan Kolar and his wife Nicole and Jessica Shifko, all of Greensburg, and by her two Great granddaughters, Claire Miedel and Kennedy Kolar. Marge is also survived by her brother and sisters, Joseph Levine and his wife Pauline, Elizabeth Higgins and Catherine Sinnamond, by her sister in law, Anna Marie Levine and numerous Nieces and Nephews. In addition to her parents, Marge was preceded in death by her husband, Andy Kolar, Jr. in 1996 and by her granddaughter Anna Marie Grabiak, her brothers and sister, John and Michael Levine and Mary Smith. Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. A blessing service will be held Thursday at 9:15 AM at the funeral home, followed by her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass in Holy Cross R.C. Church, Youngwood, with the Rev. William C. McGuirk as celebrant.
