Obituary of Dorothy Jean Liska Fencil

Mount Pleasant, Dorothy Jean Liska Fencil, age 90 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Tuesday (12/30//14) in Excela Health- Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg, PA. Mrs. Fencil was born December 5, 1924 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Beran Liska. She was a member of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church of Mt. Pleasant. Dorothy enjoyed playing the organ and watching WWE wrestling, playing the lottery, and just sitting on her porch visiting with her family and neighbors. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and loved spending her time with them. Dorothy was a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother, and a friend and neighbor to many. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Dorothy is survived by her loving family: her children; Caroline A. Rodgers and her husband Robert and Barbara J. Magyor, all of Mt. Pleasant, her grandchildren; Eric Magyor and Kathy, Kim Magyor, Troy Magyor and Jennifer, and Rita Gonofsky and Mark, and by her beloved great grandchildren; Elijah Magyor and Jacob Koningisor. She is also survived by her sister, Patricia Kaputa and John of Greensburg. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Fencil in 2003, and by her sister, Gertrude Liska. Family and friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. A blessing service will be held Saturday in the funeral home at 9:30AM followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary RC Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant. Interment will be in the Middle Presbyterian Cemetery, Mount Pleasant Township. A Parish Wake Service will be held Friday at 3PM.
