Obituary of Eleanor Bechtell Lipko

Mount Pleasant, Eleanor Bechtell Lipko, age 83 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died unexpectedly Wednesday (1210/14), at her home. Mrs. Lipko was born November 11, 1931 in United, PA. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Pauline Ruse Bechtell. She was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church and its Christian Mothers. Eleanor was a graduate of the former Hurst High School. She was a very active volunteer for the St. Pius X Parish. She loved working with the Ministry of Consolation, the St. Vincent DePaul Society and the kitchen crew. She also worked as a teller for the church, and enjoyed singing in the choir. Eleanor was especially devoted to her family, enjoying every holiday with them. "Our Mom always said, I do not have a lot of diamonds or fine jewelry, but my children are my Gems". Eleanor had a faith in God that was unwavering and awesome to behold. Her eternity is secure and she will live on through her children and grandchildren. God will certainly be holding her in the Palm of His hand. Eleanor is survived by her loving family:her children; Paula Walker and Dale of Mt. Pleasant, Patricia Zuzack and Kenneth of Rising Sun, MD, Thomas Lipko and Lauren of Poplar, MT, Lori Benjamin and CMDR (Ret) Robert of Panama City, FL, Deborah Talleri and Maj.Gen.(Ret) Peter of Bradenton, FL, Michael Lipko and Jacqueline of Mt. Pleasant, and Robert Lipko and Lynne of Greensburg, her beloved grandchildren: Dale Walker Jr., Rachael Walker Bliss, Sara Zuzack Harris, Eric Zuzack, Scott Lipko, T.J. Lipko, Melissa Lipko, Sean Benjamin, Lindsay Benjamin Palamara, Adam Talleri, Danielle Talleri Land and Anna Grace Talleri, Paul, Natalie and Samantha Lipko, and Cameron and Joshua Lipko. She will also be greatly missed by her great grandchildren; Harper Bliss, Alex and Caden Harris, Renner and Crosby Talleri, Aria Land, Jonah Palamara, LaVie Lipko, and an expected great grandchild in April of 2015. Eleanor is also survived by her brother and sister, Robert Bechtell of Mt. Pleasant and Mary Regina (Jean) King of Belpre, OH, and by her "St. Pius X Family". In addition to her parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband Paul E. Lipko in 1990, her grandson, Derek Meade Walker in 2012, and by her brother, Walter Bechtell. Family and friends will be received Friday from 12 to 3 and 5 to 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. A blessing service will be held Saturday at 9:00 AM in the funeral home, followed by Eleanor's Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM at St. Pius X RC Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant. Interment will be in the St. Pius X Parish Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant. A parish wake service will be held Friday at 2:45 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society in memory of Eleanor Bechtell Lipko.
