Obituary of Pearl F. (Eckenrod) Robertucci

Mount Pleasant, Pearl F. Eckenrod Robertucci, age 99 of Mount Pleasant, PA, passed on from this earth into the loving arms of her Father in heaven, Jesus Christ, on Thursday (11/6/14). Mrs. Robertucci was born September 5, 1915 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the daughter of the late Silas and Alberta Louise Reese Eckenrod. She was a member of St. Rita's Roman Catholic Church of Connellsville. Pearl was a proud graduate of the former Ramsay High School. She had been employed as a telephone operator for the former Bell Telephone Company in Greensburg and Connellsville. After marrying Angelo Robertucci and settling in Connellsville, Pearl worked for the Anchor Hocking Glass Co for over 25 years. After her retirement, she worked as a nanny for families in the Connellsville area. Pearl enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, reading and watching jeopardy. It is with great sorrow that we mourn the death of our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt. It is also with joy that we celebrate her 99 years with us. Pearl is survived by her two devoted daughters, Angela Amadio and her husband Robert of Greensburg, and Phyllis Ann Robertucci, with whom she made her home, her step son Angelo Robertucci of Connellsville, and her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren: Ryan Kenney and Andrea, Sean Kenney and Katie, Tara Crum and Steve, Morgan, Laken, Gracen, Elle, Regan, Molly, Sydney and Aidan. She is also survived by her brother, Charles Eckenrod of California, and some very close nieces, Becky, JoAnn and Susan, and her companion and live in care taker, Mary Davare. In addition to her parents, Peal was preceded in death by her husband, Angelo A. Robertucci in 1969, and her brothers and sisters; Silas (Sonny) and George Eckenrod, Eleanor Stephens, Dorothy Berdine, Ida Caligaris, Yuvonne Schomer and infant sister, Mary Louise Eckenrod. As per honoring Pearl's wishes, there will be no hours of public visitation. A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date. Inurnment will be private. The family wishes to thank the wonderful nurses at Frick Hospital and the visiting aides and hospice nurses especially Meagan, who helped us all more than we will ever be able to say.
