Obituary of Charles E. McBeth

St. Petersburg, Charles E. McBeth Sr., age 87 of St. Petersburg, FL, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, went to be with the Lord Thursday (10/23/14) . Mr. McBeth was born August 12, 1927 in Tarrs, PA, the son of the late Joseph and Mary Beistel McBeth. He was a member of Center Bethel Church of God in Alverton. Charles worked for the Exxon Corporation, managing the Exxon Gas stations on the PA turnpike from Sideling Hill to the Hempfield Plaza until his retirement. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his loving family: his children; Linda Kring and her husband Larry of Mt. Pleasant, Charles E. McBeth, Jr. of Connellsville, Rebecca Mallik and her husband Larry of Level Green, His step children: Ronald Ferrari of Avondale, AZ, Robert Ferrari, Sr. and his wife Pedy of Derby, KS, Jean Lakly and her husband Timothy and Arlene Haynie and her husband Daniel,all of St. Petersburg, FL, his six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren. Charles is also survived by his brother, Harry P. Bowser and his wife Karon of Alverton, his sister, Thelma Ritenour of Acme and his step brother, Leon Mowry and his wife Charlotte of Acme. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Ostewise McBeth in 1984, his second wife, Irene Hudock McBeth in 2009, his step mother, Mildred Tinkey Mowry McBeth, and his sisters and brother; Imogene Ulery, Marjorie Brown, Alice Zwierzelewski and George McBeth. Family and friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 5 & 6 to 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. Funeral services for Mr. McBeth will be held Friday at 1:00 PM in the Funeral Home with the Rev. D. Keith Solomon officiating. Interment will be in the Alverton Cemetery.
