Obituary of Shirley Fay Vance

Connellsville, Shirley Fay Vance, age 66 of Connellsville, PA, died Tuesday (10/14/14) in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. Miss Vance was born November 9, 1947 in Scottdale, PA, the daughter of the late Jesse and Bertha Green Vance. Shirley retired in 2010 from The Williamhouse Corporation with over 34 years of service. She was a member of the United Steel Workers of America, Local 198 District 10. Shirley was a true animal lover, who especially loved her dogs. She is survived by her loving family: her nieces and nephews; James Vance, Jr. and Dyana, Dean Vance and Barbara, Linda Amdy and John, Judy Fuoss, Debbie Ostrowski and Alan, Glenn Fuoss, and Howard Fuoss and April. Her sister in law Ann Vance, and by her great nieces and nephews; Dana Kaufman, Cara Kaufman, Tange McDowell and Jason, Amanda Ostrowski, Scott Ostrowski, Ryan Amdy, and Leah Myers and Ross. In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her brothers and sister: Russell Vance, Jesse Vance, Jr., Melvin Vance, James Vance, Sr. and Dolores Fuoss.
