Obituary of Lawrence E. Kravice

Mount Pleasant, Lawrence E. "Larry" Kravice, age 65 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Monday (10/6/14) in the Excela Health- Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant, PA. Mr. Kravice was born October 13, 1948 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the son of the late Adam and Cecelia Sknerski Kravice. Larry was Catholic by faith. He was a 1966 graduate of the former East Huntingdon High School. Larry had been employed in the Maintenance Department with the USX Corporation for over 37 years. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed socializing with his friends at the American Legion in Mount Pleasant. Larry was a loving husband and a devoted father and grandfather. He is survived by his loving family: his wife of 35 years, Barbara L. Meckley Kravice, his children; Tonya Ripple and her husband Greg of Mt. Pleasant, Larry Kravice, Jr. of North Carolina and Krystal Lynch and her husband Bret, with whom he and Barb shared a home in Mt. Pleasant, by his beloved grandchildren; Ashley Kunkle and Chris, Amber Auer and Dan Rosky, Zoe Ripple, Zachary Ripple, Christopher Kravice, Nicholas Kravice and Noah Lynch, and by his three great grandchildren, Michael Kunkle and Mason and Jaxon Raygor. Larry is also survived by his sisters, Adesta Keefer and her husband James of Pennsville, Karen Posta and her husband Keith of FL, and Mary Helen Ferrell and her husband Mike of Mt. Pleasant, numerous nieces and nephews, his mother in law, Pearl Astolas and Charles of Saltsburg, and by his daughter in law, Allison Kravice of North Carolina. Family and friends will be received Friday from 3 until 5 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. Larry's funeral service will be held at 5:00 PM with the Rev. Thomas C. Shirer officiating. Inurnment will be private.
