Obituary of Gerald Warren Cable

Mount Pleasant, Gerald Warren "Bud" Cable Jr., age 79 of Mount Pleasant, PA, went home to be with his heavenly father, Tuesday (8/26/14) in Excela-Health Latrobe Hospital, Latrobe, PA. Mr. Cable was born May 12, 1935 in Dunbar, PA, the son of the late Gerald and Ruby Humphreys Cable. He was a member of the Church of God of Mt. Pleasant. Bud was a graduate of Connellsville High School. He served in the Army National Guard for over six years. Bud was employed for many years as a Tool and Die Maker for the former Anchor Hocking Co. of Connellsville. He was a gifted artist, excelling in scrimshaw engravings and carvings and enjoyed cycling, staying fit, and especially loved their annual vacations to Ocean City, NJ. Bud was a loving husband and father, who served his Lord, and was a good and faithful servant. He is survived by his devoted and loving family: his daughters, Pamela Jo "Pammie" Cable, and Heidi Leigh Gulisek and her husband Joe, all of Mt. Pleasant. He is also survived by his brothers, Donald R. Cable and Russell (Ricky) Cable, both of AZ. Bud is also survived by his very special friend, Debbie Davis, and by his beloved pets, his dogs Buddy and Marco. In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara A. Mason Cable in 2002. Family and friends will be received Friday from 4 until 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant, with Funeral Services immediately following the visitation hours at 8:00 pm in the funeral home.
