Obituary of Paul McClelland Snyder

RuffsDale, Paul McClelland Snyder, age 47 of RuffsDale, PA, died unexpectedly Sunday (5/11/14) at Excela Health- Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant, PA. Mr. Snyder was born September 4, 1966 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the son of Marion Fontanazza of Mt. Pleasant and the late Sarah Lawson Fontanazza. Paul was a 1984 graduate of Mt. Pleasant Area High School. He was employed as a Crane Operator for the Operating Engineers Local #66. Paul was very active in the Mt. Pleasant Area Sports programs. He spent many years coaching Football, Baseball and Wrestling, which allowed him to spend extra quality time with his son. He was a member of the Slovak Club, Polish Falcons Nest and the Hecla Sportsman's Club. Paul was a loving and devoted father who enjoyed spending time with his children and his family. In addition to his father, Paul is survived by his son, Paul A. Snyder and Chrissy Jones of Mt. Pleasant, his daughter, Lauren J. Snyder and Matthew Kelley of Washington, and by their mother, Tracy Childs Vokes of Mt. Pleasant. Paul is also survived by his brother and sisters: Marion Fontanazza Jr. and Marlene of Scottdale, Della Sechrist of Mt. Pleasant, Beverly Watkins of Greensburg and Barbara Proud and James of Mt. Pleasant, and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 9 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. Funeral Services for Paul will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM in the funeral home, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko officiating. Inurnment will be private.
