Obituary of Anne Elizabeth Forejt

Mount Pleasant, Anne Elizabeth Forejt, age 74 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Thursday (03/6/14) at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Miss Forejt was born November 29, 1939 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Shibilski Forejt. She was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, and it's Christian Mothers. Anne was a 1957graduate of the former Hurst High School. She retired with more than 30 years of service as a legal secretary with the law firm of Loughran and Mlakar in Greensburg. Anne loved to read, and enjoyed canning fruits and vegetables. She was the ultimate "Big Sister" who looked forward to her daily excursions to "do lunch" with her sister Mary Ellen. Anne is survived by her loving family: her sisters, Kathleen Forejt Bash and her husband Paul of Norvelt, and Mary Ellen Forejt Gerecter of Mt. Pleasant, with whom she resided, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Anne was preceded in death by her sister, Carol Forejt Neiderhiser, and by her brother-in-law Richard Gerecter. Family and friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. A blessing service will be held Monday at 9:30AM in the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Pius X RC Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant. Inurnment will be in the St. Pius X Parish Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant. A parish wake service will be held in the funeral home Sunday at 3PM.
