Obituary of Michelina (Polly) Tesauro Hart

Mount Pleasant, Michelina T. "Polly" Tesauro Hart, age 84 of Mount Pleasant PA, died Friday (1/31/14) in the Harmon House Convalescent Center, Mount Pleasant, PA. Ms. Hart was born May 31, 1929 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the daughter of the late Gaetano (Charlie) and Carmela (Nellie) Martorella Tesauro. She was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church of Mt. Pleasant. Polly was a graduate of the former Ramsay High School, and worked as a clerk for over 30 years for the former Burns Drug Store in Mt. Pleasant. She then began working for the the former H.C. Frick Hospital in the Housekeeping Department. After her retirement, she spent many hours as a volunteer at the hospital. Polly had also been named Mt. Pleasant Citizen of the Month. She loved spending time with and talking to people. She will be fondly remembered and missed by all who knew her. Polly is survived by her loving family: her daughter, Rosaire M. Bair and her husband Bill of Mt. Pleasant, and numerous cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Rose V. DiCriscio, and by her friend and companion Elmer Slonecker. Family and friends will be received Saturday 2/8/2014 from 12-Noon to 2 PM, the hour of her memorial service at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant., with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko officiating. Private Inurnment will be in the St. Pius X Parish Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant.
