Obituary of Paul A. Evon

Mount Pleasant, Paul A. Evon Jr., age 73 of Mount Pleasant, PA, died Friday (01/10/14) in Excela Health- Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant, PA. Mr. Evon was born February 3, 1940 in Mount Pleasant, PA, the son of the late Paul and Goldie Dillinger Evon, Sr. He was a 1958 graduate of the former Hurst High School. Paul served in the United States Army and was a member of the PA Army National Guard, 110th Infantry. He worked for Pepsico as a Truck Driver and retired with over 37 1/2 years of service. He was a member of the Teamsters Union #491. One of his favorite pastimes was going to the casinos. Paul was a loving husband, father and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving family: his wife of 47 years, Carolyn L. Crusan Evon, his daughter, Kelly L. Evon-Edwards of Greensburg and his beloved poodle, Peanut. In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his brothers, Gilbert and Kenneth Evon. Family and friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. A blessing service will be held Monday at 12:00-Noon in the funeral home followed by Paul's 12:30 PM Funeral Mass in St. Pius X RC Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant. Interment with military rites accorded by the American Legion Post #446 will be in the Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville.
