Obituary of Eileen L. Parker

Greensburg, Eileen L. Sheafer Parker, age 86 of Greensburg, PA, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, Madison, and Rolling Hills, died Wednesday (1/1/14) in the Excela Health- Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg, PA. Mrs. Parker was born September 27, 1927 in Pittsburgh, PA, the daughter of the late Robert and Margaret Kidd Sheafer. She was a former member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church of Mt. Pleasant. Eileen was a homemaker who was dedicated to caring for her family. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by her family and her friends. Eileen is survived by her loving family: her children; Colleen Wood and her husband George of Mt. Pleasant, Karen Karas and her husband Jeff of Greensburg, Patricia Baum and her husband Robert of Mt. Pleasant and David Parker of Youngwood , by her grandchildren; Stacy Wood of Columbus, OH, Benjamin Wood of Pittsburgh, Melanie Kemerer of Smithton, Scott Lazar and Kelly Butler both of Mt. Pleasant, Michelle Parker of Greensburg, her step granddaughter, Shannon Baum Rudy of Sherman Dale, PA, and numerous great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Eileen was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Lowell H. Parker in 2002, her grandson, Christian Lloyd, and her brothers, Robert and Charles Sheafer. Family and friends will be received Saturday from 6 to 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. Eileen's funeral service will follow immediately at 8:00PM in the funeral home with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko officiating.
